Ottobot is a Telegram bot that watches myauto.ge for the cars you describe. This note says what it keeps about you, why, who else sees it and how to have it deleted.
What the bot keeps
- Your Telegram user id. It is your account — the bot does not store your name, username or phone number.
- Your language: the one your Telegram app uses, and the one you picked in the bot.
- Your settings: whether quiet hours are on, the invite link you joined with, your own invite links and who joined with them, when you started, and whether the bot can still reach you.
- Your searches and their settings — make, model, year, price, mileage, fuel, gearbox, location, customs, steering side, instant alerts or a daily digest — and whether each is active or paused.
- What you type to describe a car, and how the bot understood it, so we can teach it to understand better.
- Which listings were sent to you and when, the cars you starred (with their price when you starred them), and the price-drop alerts you were sent.
- Usage events — for example a search created, paused or deleted, a button tapped, an alert sent — to measure whether the bot works: how fast alerts arrive and how many searches stay useful.
- Messages you send with /feedback.
- When you open a listing from an alert through an ottobot.ge link: which listing, from which search, and when. Not your IP address.
Why
To do what you asked: run your searches, send you each matching car once, watch the prices of the cars you starred, and hold alerts during quiet hours. And to measure and improve the product — in aggregate, never to profile you.
Who else sees it
- Telegram, which carries every message between you and the bot.
- An AI language-model provider, which receives the sentence you type to describe a car and turns it into search filters. It gets the sentence only, not your Telegram id.
- GitHub, where /feedback messages are filed as issues in our project’s tracker, together with your Telegram id, your language and a short summary of your searches.
- Hetzner, which hosts the bot’s server, and Cloudflare, which hosts this website and the link redirect.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your data, share it for advertising or show you ads. Ottobot can’t see your other Telegram chats — only the messages you send to it.
How long we keep it, and how to delete it
We keep it while you use the bot.
- Pause or delete any search in /searches. Deleting a search removes it and its settings.
- Blocking the bot stops every message from it.
- To have everything about you deleted, write to [email protected] with your Telegram user id (@userinfobot shows it), and we’ll delete it.
This website
ottobot.ge sets no cookies and runs no trackers. Its fonts and its one small script are served from ottobot.ge itself, so opening it sends nothing to anyone else. Cloudflare, which hosts it, keeps standard request logs.
